Apple, Inc. has finally announced a date for when the company will unveil the highly anticipated iPhone 5. According to Apple, the renowned iDevice will be unveiled during a press event on October 4 at its Cupertino-based Headquarters.

Unfortunately, Apple did not reveal any specifics on the iPhone 5, though news agencies and blogs around the world have some clues as to what the device may feature.

It has been 15 months since Apple released the iPhone 4, making this the longest period of time between models of the device since 2007. On October 7, will you be tuning into several news agencies to get the latest details of the iPhone 5?

Apple, Inc. has been denying paid vacation days for Apple employees for the second week of October. It’s currently speculated that the company is doing this because of the rumored launch of the iPhone 5 and corresponding operating system, iOS 5.

A few sources that are familiar with the matter have said that Apple has blacked out vacation days between October 9 – 12 and October 14 – 15.

Apple could potentially release iOS 5 between October 9 and 12, which suggests why some sections of AppleCare have been told to prepare for an increase in iOS 5 inquiries during the aforementioned dates. Then, on October 14 or October 15, Apple is expected to launch the highly anticipated iPhone 5 — and having an employee take a day off on these particular dates could be rather coincidental.

Nevertheless, AllThingsDigital has announced that Apple will hold its big media event on October 4 to reveal the iPhone 5. Are you excited for the upcoming iPhone 5?

Apple, Inc. is only a few weeks away from announcing the highly anticipated iPhone 5, after a long cacophony of rumors, features, and the device’s release date.

TechCrunch is reporting that the iPhone 5 will launch on October 15, while 9to5Mac has hinted an earlier release of October 7. In any event, the release date of the highly anticipated iDevice should be in October.

However, with the iPhone 5 nearing its launch, we’ve compiled a list of 4 features that the iPhone 5 won’t have — features that seem highly invisible but are actually improbable.

Flash Support: It’s old news that Apple doesn’t care to implement Adobe Flash, as they consider the software to be power-hungry and prone to crash. Obviously, with Apple’s attitude, the iPhone 5 will not support Flash.

4G Network: The iPhone 5 will not support 4G, which offers seemingly fast download and connection speeds, as the 4G LTE Network is fairly new. Instead, like previous versions of the iPhone, the iPhone 5 will run on AT&T’s and Verizon’s 3G Networks.

Loud Speakers: It seems fairly easy to enhance the iPhone with loud speakers, but that’s hardly a concern to Apple. Instead, they want to focus on the iPhone’s overall design, so you can expect the iPhone 5 to have terrible sound quality like the iPhone 4.

Thunderbolt Port: The iPad 3 and iPhone 6 are expected to sport the Thunderbolt Port, but that’s not the case with the upcoming iPhone 5. A Thunderbolt Port allows for lightening fast data transfer and connectivity.

In addition to the features listed above, the iPhone 5 won’t see a new keyboard or more advanced emailing system. What do you think of the upcoming iPhone 5?

It’s not unusual for folks to begin talking about the iPhone 6, as the rumored launch date of the iPhone 5 is just around the corner. It’s currently believed that the iPhone 6 will sport several enhancements and improvements that will not be available in the iPhone 5; below, I have listed several of these rumors and what we can expect.

Enhanced Charging

It has been reported by the Wall Street Journal that the iPhone 6 will likely feature a new way of charging. It’s currently unclear on how the device will be charged, but experts and analysts suspect that charging will be revolutionary and not done via cables. It’s also possible that the method of charging the iPhone 6 will be similar to the HP webOS.

NFC Technology

It’s highly likely that the iPhone 6 will sport Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology which will allow individuals to use iOS as a payment system. If iOS 6 and the iPhone 6 features NFC Technology, then you’ll be able to purchase goods and products via your Apple Device. Cool Right?

A6 Processors

It’s unfortunate that Apple will not be dealing with Samsung anymore (as the two companies are currently suing each other due to the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S II looks too much like the iPhone). Nevertheless, Apple is searching for a different company to develop the new A6 Processors which will be equipped in the iPhone 6.

iPhone 6 Release

If all goes according to schedule, the iPhone 5 will debut Mid-October 2011, with a possible launch of the iPhone 6 in the spring 2012 or fall of 2012. It’s also possible that the iPhone 6 will debut during the summer.

In addition to the rumors above, the iPhone 6 may also receive a complete overhaul with a new, sleek design, longer battery life, and an extremely advanced voice recognition system. What do you think the iPhone 6 will be like?

iOS 5 — the next-generation iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad operating system — will be rolled out to Apple Manufacturers on September 23, according to a report published by AppleInsider. iOS 5 Beta 7 is currently available for Apple Developers and a September 23 release of the iOS 5 GM (Golden Master) to Foxconn and Pegatron would allow for the companies to meet the rumored shipping and launches dates for the iPhone 5.

It’s currently estimated that it will take Apple 10 to 12 days to ship the iPhone 5 from its factories in China to Apple Stores and Apple Partners. If that’s the case, then the iPhone 5 will likely arrive in Mid-October, which is consistent with rumors about the launch date.

What do you think? Will the Apple iPhone 5 be available in Mid-October?
